The only real ding here are the prices. It is high end expect to drop bucks for your meal per person. I am fairly critical of commercial gumbo but it is one of the few places that I will eat the gumbo.

The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming and helps you settle in to a gastronomic tour-de-force! Also, not sure if they actually put crack-cocaine in the coffee but whatever it is, it is fabulous.

I had the shrimp and lump crabmeat melba - a pasta dish that was great. A coworker ordered the sisters of the sea au gratin. It was good, but very rich. All of the food was server with a side of aspargus, which was good as well. I mixed mine in with my pasta and was very happy with it. If you have a large party, definitely make a reservation.

Seating could be an issue otherwise, especially since they stay pretty busy! Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area. Really old school restaurant with down south charm. However, the service we received was quite disappointing.

I went with my father and step mom for an early dinner.
